Welcome to The Perth Project!

I’m Rachel and this blog is my love letter to the city of Perth, Western Australia. I’ve never subscribed to the all-too-common belief that Perth is dull or boring – if you know where to look, you’ll always find something worth seeing, eating or doing.

This blog is my way of sharing my Perth pride and shining a light on all the great places to hang out, the exciting events to take part in and the delicious places to grab a meal along the way.

Here you’ll find lots of drool-worthy vegetarian delights, unique bars and nightlife, performances that pull you out of your comfort zone, local talents who are doing interesting and out of the box things, and anything else that shows you a new and different side of the city and surrounds.

I’m all about being accessible but not boring, and I look forward to sharing with you all of the things Perth has to offer – especially if they’re a little left of centre!

Want to know a little more about me?

I’ve been in the media industry for almost a decade in roles spanning journalism, communications and marketing. I love to read (my house is overrun with piles of books!), have an absolute weakness for cheese and chocolate, can’t be without music, and live for a good cuddle on the couch with my tabby cat and Pugalier.

I can’t wait for you to join me and I hope TPP inspires and encourages you to look beyond the usual to see the best your city has to see, eat and do.
