The little things 29/6/16

“Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.” – Denis Waitley

These are seven of the little things that are making me smile this week – the things I am grateful for.

I’ve perfected the quickest, most delicious chocolate chip peanut butter cookie recipe – they’re done in about 10 minutes so are perfect for late night desert cravings.

Spending another few days hanging out with my nephew and having the best snuggles with him and Mack. (Mack has never really been around babies before so it was such a relief when he was happy to snuggle up with us.)

I had the most delicious apple juice I’ve had in a long time at the Swan Valley Café, which serves up all vegetarian food. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Speaking of the Swan Valley, I had so much fun spending a sunny day exploring. We had a high tea at Valley View Restaurant, followed by drinks in the sunshine (and later in front of the fireplace) at Mandoon Estate.

I went along to a workshop hosted by The Perth Collective this week which was so much fun – I love learning, and that feeling of being inspired is priceless.

Having lots of ideas to mull over, plans to make, steps to action and things to think about. I’m ready to set some goals and kick some ass!

Eating all the delicious things on crusty bread – avocado and tomato, ricotta and tomato, Camembert cheese, peanut butter and banana – sometimes these simple meals really are the absolute best. #stuffontoast

The nights might be cold but at least there’s still some sunshine around this winter! What are you grateful for lately?
